What should I wear?
Women: athletic shoes (running or walking shoes are preferable - something with a flexible sole), shorts, sports bra, and t-shirt.
Hat, sunglasses, and sunblock are also recommended.
What do I bring to class?
Note: we want moms and dads with babies or small children in strollers to work out with us. Please feel free to bring your "jogging" stroller to any of our classes. We recommend strollers with a single front fixed wheel and two back wheels (tires 12-16 inches) or a stroller that allows you to "lock" the two front wheels in a fixed position.
What's Class Like?

Jackie Schmoll has always loved fitness and sports. Jackie played Division 1 Field Hockey at The University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree. She was part of the 1999 Division 1 National Championship Team. In 2001, Jackie began distance running and ran Cross Country and Track & Field at UMD until 2002. From 2002-2003, Jackie was the Assistant Coach of the UMD Cross Country Team. Jackie has continued to run competitively from 2003 until the present. Jackie trained and competed in short and distance running events, lifted weights and taught Spinning throughout both of her pregnancies (in 2008 and 2010) including the day she went into labor! Her favorite distances are 5k, 10k, 10 mile, Half Marathon, and Marathons (she has run 8!). Jackie has also run four Spartan Races (completing the Spartan Trifecta in 2014). Because she is a Certified Spartan Race Group Exercise Coach (SGX), she is highly qualified to train participants for their first obstacle course race. Becoming a mom helped Jackie to realize that there is no better time to do what you have dreamed of than today!

Steve Schmoll played Division 1 Baseball at The University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering degree. Steve was the UMD Male Athlete of the Year and led the ACC in Strikeouts while setting the UMD Single Season Strikeout Record. Steve played Professional Baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Washington Nationals Organizations from 2003 through 2009.
